Yard Waste
- Limbs - Must be no larger than 6 inches in diameter and no longer than 6 feet in length.
- Leaves and grass clippings curb side pickup from April 1st to October 1st. Effective 08/01/08, Leaves and clippings are to be bagged.
General Items
- Metal items
- Small amounts of building or demolition material. Painted and unpainted material must be separated.
- Tires must have the state DOT stamp and rims must be removed. There is a limit of four tires.
- White goods - Dishwashers, refrigerators, stoves
- Paint cans - Mix with sand or cat litter to absorb paint and let contents dry out before placing on curb.
Reminders
- No waste oil or batteries will be picked up.
- Any trees commercially pruned or taken down are the responsibility of the contractor or homeowner.
- Carpet must be disposed of by the resident or contractor.
- Remove doors from refrigerators or freezers.
Recycling
Items that can be recycled:
- Glass items (clear, brown, blue and green)
- Aluminum cans
- Newspapers
- Plastic soft drink containers
- Milk containers
The city hauls mulch back from the Enoree landfill to make it available to our residents. Mulch is available Monday - Friday from 7:30 AM - 4:15 PM to load yourself at the Sanitation Department located at 6 Jenkins Street. The city will load the mulch for you from 4:00 PM - 4:15 PM, Monday - Friday.
